I Saw God Today....

1 John 4:7-8 (King James Version)

7.Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8.He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

I believe the Word of God to be true, and since it tells us that God is love, then I saw God yesterday. There was no great fire cloud in the sky, no deep voice calling from the heavens, and no remarkable sign to speak of. There was however: rakes, shovels, chainsaws and horse poop. Yes, horse poop, a whole truck full!

How in all of that chaos did I see God? I saw God through the people behind the rakes and shovel fulls of poop.  Several of our parents at the preschool went against the advice of the weatherman and came out and helped to make the school look and function better. Love was displayed, for the children and to each other.

Elizabeth and I were overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from each of the parents. We truly are blessed to have become part of your family as you all have become a part of ours. A special thanks to the "Vine" pulling family that had to drive more than over the hills and through the woods.

For anyone who was unable to be there, I am sure we will have more opportunities to get together. The time together built flower beds, but more importantly friendships. To love one another is to show God's love to the world. This week we can show off the Preschool as the school that Love built!

  1. It was truly amazing that the rain stopped just long enough to work together! Amazing. So glad we all came together and showed our love for the school and all you do for us and our children!
